You can take a personal role in our mission to help the children of Africa live healthy and productive lives while helping to educate them on the value of preserving their communities’ valuable resources.

Join a small group of friends (max 12) to join us in our schools and libraries in the South Luangwa Valley of Zambia, or help mentor teen age kids in the leadership program along with our partners at Project Luangwa and then enjoy an incredible safari experience. You will work with our trained reading assistants and teachers as you meet with groups of primary students at one of our 5 reading centers or meet with high school age kids to help them envision their future in the mornings, you’ll then return to the lodge after lunch to relax and have the opportunity to book optional late afternoon game drives. Teaching experience not required.

The Perfect Volunteer Experience!

One of the most beautiful places in the world to see animals. Known for its walking safaris, Zambia is a safe and friendly country. During the 14-day trip you will be hosted by Thornicroft Lodge near the South Luangwa National Park. During your stay you can meet with our children at 5 different libraries and schools during the week, and meet with high school age kids to help them envision their future then enjoy safari game drives in one of the most amazing national parks in Africa. We also have added some special surprises.

You’ll share comfortable rooms and all meals, 4 game drives and park fees are included does not include international flights to Mfuwe. You can add additional game drives at $50 a day.

You’ll also have the option to add 3 nights at Victoria Falls Avani Hotel for $2,500, which is within walking distance to the falls. Just let us know your interest and we will send you information.
